Will someone be making an anouncement about when the meeting will be for allocating the money to be spent on the parks and hopfully the Hanes Park track. I would like to attend and know several people who also said they will go if they know in advance when it will be and where.

While asking about Ultimate Runner related issues, I believe that electronic timing was used for the 100 meter last year but this year, it was hand-timed. There were some fairly large discrepancies in the times that could definitely affect the outcome of the race for some people. For example, I was in a race in which I have a 13.9, a person who beat me by one step had a 13.6 and a person that I either beat or tied with had a 13.8. This represented a 14 pt. difference between the 13.6 and the 13.9. This didn't affect me because I ran poorly overall but this type of thing may have affected anybody else.

Is there a better way to time this race? It isn't very fair to a runner who might have won the overall event if his/her 100 time was 0.2 faster than listed.

The 100 has been electronically timed in the past. There were problems with electrical power that forced a fallback to hand timing.
