My hamstring is sore and I have what feels like a knot at the top of my hamstring just below my glut. It has been 4 weeks since I last ran and it is better but still gives me trouble if I try to walk fast or go up/down stairs. My friend is a physical therapist, but leaves far away, and she says it sounds like a hamstring tear and possible scar tissue. She says I need to see a well respected physical therapist in the area. Any recommendations on a physical therapist in Winston Salem or surrounding area? Also, has anyone else had a pulled hamstring...how long does it take to get well? |

I'd contact Comp Rehab. Per Kristian Moerk is a runner and is highly recommended, but they have others there that are quite good.
You may also want to track down a good massage therapist. David Black is used by several club members, I use Jamie Huss but she's booked pretty solid. |

Thanks, do you have phone numbers or company names to look up these two massage therapists?
Also, anyone else have any insight on how long this will take to heal or recommendations on treatment? |
