New TCTC member here! Anyone have any suggestions as to some good routes around town to get in some long runs? (over 10 miles) I'm already familiar w/Salem Lake and Tanglewood, but I'm always looking for more variety. I checked out the routes page--I would get lost in Buena Vista trying to follow the mistletoe 1/2 marathon directions..if I wrote them on my hand they might smear and I would end up in kernersville.. |

Actually long run options are pretty easy to follow. Try Pulling down the Mistletoe course map from the course maps page and you'll see there aren't as many turns as you think. You can shoot straight to the gardens for 8, go around the campus for 10.5, add another mile by going to the end of faculty. If you start around 8 on just about and Satruday morning there'll be someone heading in that direction you can follow. |

Hi Matt. I felt the same way you did about the Misteltoe directions but found them to be pretty easy. I printed the directions and ran with them one time. After that, I did not need them anymore. I am going to run the half either tomorrow evening or saturday. I will probably do it in about 2 hours. If you would like, drop me a line and I will be a guide. thomasabuford@yahoo.com |

| Hey Matt, I'm also a new TCTC member and need to run at least 12 miles this saturday early. I run a 10 min pace though...were you planning on running with anyone? |
