After much deliberation it looks like a group of TCTC marathoners will be heading to Marine Corp this year.
Registration starts April 6th and this race fills fast. Details can be found here: http://www.marinemarathon.com/thereleasesREGISTER05.php

Who's in?

My evolving plans have Marine Corps on my schedule this year, as I have a number of friends who will be traveling to D.C. and run (and some will be there to cheer). Danny

I just registered for the MCM this morning. Is anyone else signed up and planning/hoping for a 4:30 finish? If so, please let me know.

A bunch of us signed up.
I think Bill Gibbs is hoping for a 4:30 finish.
I'm sure there are others, but none that I know of.

I'm in and will be looking to run a 3:45. Anyone else going to be there running about that pace?

Bill Gibbs is going for 4:30? Did they add a half-marathon?

It may be time to add a "Bold Predictions for 2005" page so we have a list of proper candidates for the Helmet of Doom. James is getting antsy to pass on the Helmet, but it's tough to have doom without predictions of grandure.

Todd Rantala, or D-Dot, will be running it too. He was a member 2000-2002 before he moved to Charlotte.

Julie, 4:30 is probably about what I'm looking at. I'd like to do faster, but at the risk of being awarded the dreaded helmet, i'll play it safe. Come train w/me!

Marin Corp 05 Registration

I will not be able to run this year. I have a confirmed registration.
If someone is interested in Transferring I would be glad to see it used.

Best of Runs.

Do you still have your bib to transfer? I am interested in running this marathon.

Thanks!
