Matt Gfeller Memorial Doughnut Run 5K

To benefit the Matthew Alan Gfeller Memorial Scholarship Fund of The Winston-Salem Foundation.

Eligibility: All walkers and runners who are able to walk/run the course are encouraged to participate in this fun community event. Course closes one hour after start.

Course: 5K starts at Reynolds High School going north on N. Hawthorne Rd., left on Virginia Rd., left on Roslyn Rd., right on Forest Rd., right on Dartmouth Rd. and right to loop through parking lot for doughnuts and water, then retraces route back to Reynolds High School.

Music and Doughnuts: Performing arts students from Reynolds High School will provide entertainment along the course. At the halfway point in the course, Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnuts and water will be set up.

Two categories of participants: In the spirit of fun, you must register as either a:

• Challenger – run halfway, eat a half-dozen doughnuts, run the rest of the race
• Casual runner – run/walk halfway, eat less than 6 doughnuts, run/walk the rest of the race

Awards for Challengers, refreshments and door prizes immediately following the race.

Registration Fee: By November 1, adults $20; students in high school and younger $15. After November 1, $25 for everyone

Race Registration: or mail in this form or drop it off in the Reynolds main office or register in person at packet pick-up on November 13 or on race day.

T-shirts guaranteed to first 400 registrants. Our maximum number of entrants will be 600, after which we will close registration.

Packet Pick-Up: Friday, November 13, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Reynolds High School

Race day, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.

Awards: Challengers only, both male and female – top 3 finishers and top 3 age group winners: 14 and under, 15 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 & over.
