REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP
Race day from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the Salem Lake shelter.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The 50K course is a flat and scenic course beginning and ending at Salem Lake, 6 plus miles on asphalt Greenway, 25 miles on hard packed dirt around Salem Lake. It is a double out and back. The start, finish and halfway are at the Salem Lake Shelter. There are aid stations at the Salem Lake Shelter, Linville Road, and near the dam which provide water, sports drinks, and snacks roughly every 3 1/2 miles.

T-Shirts for all entrants. Medals for all finishers. Trophies or other awards for top three male and female.

HOW TO REACH SALEM LAKE
From Business I-40 at Winston-Salem., exit onto Highway 52 south. Take the first exit (Stadium Drive), turn left (uphill) to traffic light at Martin Luther King Blvd. Turn right onto Martin Luther King Blvd., then left onto Reynolda Park Road. Salem Lake Road is approximately 1 1/2 miles on left.
TWIN CITY TRACK CLUB, INC.
Race is directed by the Twin City Track Club, Inc. TCTC's more than 600 members range from casual joggers and fitness and race walkers to competitive racers.
FOR SAFETY REASONS
No wheelchairs, headphones, baby joggers or strollers, roller blades/skates, or dogs are allowed in this event. Do not enter unless you are medically able and properly trained to complete a trail ultramarathon.

LOCAL ACCOMMODATIONS
The following hotels are in downtown Winston-Salem, and are reasonably convenient to the race site. Currently, there is not shuttle service from the hotels to the race, but sharing rides is encouraged, since parking at the race site is limited. There is no camping at Salem Lake and no campgrounds are nearby, there is a list of campgrounds available at hikercentral.com. There are no shower facilities at Salem Lake. We recommend contacting the YMCA of Northwest NC for a day pass.
