ELIGIBILITY

5K - All individuals interested in and able to run and/or walk the course.

Gobble Gallop - approximately 1 mile, Children and Adults (parents may accompany children).

LOCATION & COURSE

Winston-Salem, NC. Starting Line is located on Miller Street north of Gaston. The course turns right on Cherokee and right again on Magnolia (road curves Left). Turn right on Queen and another right on Melrose. Finally turn left on Elgin. Finish Line is located near Elgin and Miller. USATF certified.

SPLITS:

Given at mile 1 and finish.

ENTRY FEES:

5K $15.00 (pre-registration deadline is 10/31/04) and $20.00 on Race Day or [Active.Com].

Overall Top male, Top female

Age groups: Male: 19 and under, 20-24,25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

Age groups: Female: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

DOOR PRIZES

Door prizes, donated by area merchants, will be awarded immediately following the 5K race.

T-shirts guaranteed to pre-registered runners and the first 50 registered on race day

Race Day 7:00-8:00am Redeemer Church and Ardmore Park, 1046 Miller Street

The goal in sponsoring the first Ardmore 5K is three-fold:

  • To provide a fun-filled event for all ages to build neighborhood camaraderie and pride in beautiful Ardmore.
  • To sponsor an event for residents, churches, and merchants to build community while working together towards a common, worthwhile goal.
  • To build up the greater community by raising money and this year, all profits will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County.
